Total unburdening

documentation and insurance

Forwarding and logistics is not your business. But it is ours. That is why we are happy to organize the complete transport of your goods and everything else that comes with it. Not just customs formalities but also other matters, such as administrative records and insurance. We take care of everything for you so that you can concentrate on your business.

documents and handling

There is a considerable amount of documentation involved in international transport. All parties involved, such as shipping companies, haulage companies, and airlines, need to be informed of the size and content of your freight and the required transport conditions. We issue bill of lading instructions to the shipping company, provide them with the verified gross mass, and – in the case of exports to the USA – also ensure that the ISF document is in order. We can also submit direct debits to the bank for you.

After shipment, we send all required documentation by courier to the agencies in the country of arrival. The recipient is sent everything together in one go. Afterwards, we make sure that the financial transactions are completed accurately.

to ensure freight, or not

With any shipment, it is important to consider taking out cargo insurance. Although this type of insurance is not mandatory, we do strongly recommend it. The insurance protects the value of your goods should any damage occur, such as physical damage caused by an accident or a natural disaster. Or damage due to quality loss caused by unexpected fluctuations in temperature with reefer transport.

Usually not included in terms and conditions of sale and delivery

Cargo insurance may sometimes be included in the agreement terms and conditions of delivery but it usually is not. It depends on the terms and conditions of sale and delivery agreed between you and the supplier. We can arrange cargo insurance for you if you require it.

risks and advice

What if I do not take out insurance?

If you do not take out insurance and your goods become damaged during shipping, it is up to you to prove where the damage occurred. As the recipient, you are responsible for arranging the preliminary claim and all associated investigation reports. You will also have to pay for all the costs that are incurred.

If insurance has not yet been arranged, Denkers BV can do this for you. We will provide advice on coverage and how the potential risks relate to the insurance costs. This will help you make a well-informed choice.
